How to grow and get involved at New Hope Church


We believe that God's house is a place for everyone and everyone has something to contribute.

 

 

The 'E-4' Church 

 

Ephesians 4:11 (Paraphrase)  Jesus has gifted certain people to train all God’s people to effectively build the Church. As they engage in this they are strengthened and mature to become people who know the truth and practice God’s love... 
  

These verses indicate that spiritual growth and maturity occur AS we serve God, not necessarily BEFORE. Therefore we provide opportunity for people to serve as they Enter church life and Engage it's ministries.

 

 

The four E's of New Hope Church


1. ENTER - Don’t stay on the fringe. There’s a place for you.

How?...     

  • Attend a Service Regularly & Be Friendly.

  • Come to the Next New People’s Party.

  • Complete a Partnership Course.

Key Thought: Partnership is the ‘Doorway’ to Engage.

  


2. ENGAGE - Get involved using your gifts and abilities wherever you can.

How?...

  • Pick up the ‘ENGAGE’ orientation tool from the info desk, complete & return it. You will be contacted soon after.

  • Areas of opportunity include: Church Health, Admin, House Crew, Kids, Youth, Young Adults, Community Care, Worship & Creative Arts, Hospitality.

     

Key Thought: You don’t become mature to do - you do to become mature.

  


3. EQUIP - Be a disciple (learner), Serving effectively, relating to Jesus Christ, other Christians, and those yet to start a relationship with God.

How?... 

  • Work through our simple study book with a leader.

  • Up skill in your area of service through our training opportunities.

Key Thought: Jesus calls us to be disciples (Learners/students)  

  


4. EXPAND - Be a Leader and help teach others (make disciples).

How?... 

  • Use our simple study book with others keen to grow.

  • Consider enlisting as an intern (ask at the info desk or church office)

Key Thought: Jesus said to "Make disciples" 

  Share
